No not me and my family, but my friend. The first day, Thursday, I went over to help her clean the house. Nothing worked out. Biggest two reasons was she was unable to get hot water that day, or any air conditioning either. The video below share the details.

The baby was our biggest concern of course.

I am happy to report that the following day while we were over at the new house waiting for the plumbers to finish, prayers were answered. We never made it to original house that next day. We got there and the plumbers were already there.  Before they finished their boss was there and told us that the inspector had about 36 other inspections and might not make it until Monday. It had to be answered prayers because only an hour or two later the inspector was there and approved everything before the plumbers even completed their work to the toilet and hot water heater. Later the gas man came to turn the gas on. Between the inspector and plumbers leaving and the gas man showing up she and I got the cleaning done while our two daughters took a good two hour nap. There was still no air conditioning but by the time we really got down to work it started to cool down to about 81degrees. It had gotten up to about 83 degree earlier. The reason it cooled down though was because a storm was coming. At first we were concerned because now she could get their stuff removed from the original house, at least the big stuff, but not in the rain.  It too turned out to be a blessing because after the storm it cooled things down even more to 79 degrees and we had a breeze. Furthermore, the rain and everything stopped about an hour before both of husbands were expected home. Later they did get the larger things moved in.

The lightening was a bit scary for us all though. In the empty house it sounded so much worse. At one point I screamed and scared my daughter more, who was already huddled up against my friend Laura. My three year old told me it was not me who scared her, but the storm. I know I did not help though. At the same momment we heard the thunder I saw the lighting hit the street infront of her house through the window just behind them.

We have had an eventful last two days. Today I am sorta recuperating from it all before we go to my mother's to help her. Hubby has to fix her breaks :)
