Our Children & Arkansas Childrens Hospital

Some of you know that our baby has had several visits w/ Arkansas Childrens Hospital since December, for a still no known condition as well as a Surgery for a accidently found Birth Defect, Tucker Jack is doing GREAT!!..................our oldest Kali whos 7 however goes in a week to see if shell need eye surgery she was 1 1/2 weeks ago diagnoised w/ Interminent Exotropia............which is basically a wandering eye(not lazy eye) its not able to focus and "bounce"back like its suppose too. Surgery has been suggested butl hopefully well find out Tuesday, and then be able to do it this summer so she wont miss school, her and her baby brother have  both had numerouse battles w/ different docs, just when we think weve got the craziness under control one of them gets a new diagnoisis, we know that it could be WORST, Tucker could have had cystic fibrosis,(he didnt) he could have died (he didnt) Kali could have died when she was born(she didnt) she could have had an over active Tyroid(she doesnt)  we know that were going thru this because were strong enough to do it, and we know w/ 4 kids were bound to have lots and lots of doc and dentist visits, its just the last 6 months our doctors visits have been thru the roof, countless thousands of dollars have been spent, everyone we know knows that weve had a lot of doc appts they just do realize how expensive it is, just to stay at the hospital w/ your sick child, theres food and getting to and from there and the other kids at home who dont understand why mommy and daddy arent w/ them. were not complaining at all its just that its a lot to go thru, and i know were strong and can handle is because we are handeling it, we know were lucky, i dont have a job to have to worry about losing(im a sahm) and neither does my husband(hes self employed)  we know I know were lucky, and well be fine, its just  its just a lot.

Hang in there! I hope you find the answers you need and may you also find strength to continue as you have been! I also understand the strains it has on family when on child is sick and hospitalized, we are dealing with our 3rd hosptializaiton in a month...my son is our "medically fragile one"
