My son, Derek, went for his 2 year old checkup yesterday. His dr saw his pacifier, aka pap-pap, and said we need to throw it away. I know it is something that needed to be done, but I was not looking forward to the battle! Well, I kept it away from him all day. Anytime he asked for it I said the dr took it at your appointment today! They daytime went great, but I was very scared that I was going to be up all night with a crying toddler! He went to sleep about 9pm. He woke up one time asking for it. I told him the dr took it. He went right back to sleep. I was so shocked! This morning he asked for it once, but after I reminded him the dr took it he hasn't even said anything else about it! I am so happy he is taking it so well. There are at least 10 pacifiers lost in our house, so I am really hoping I find them first!!!!! :)

If he find a pacifier, try telling him that they are for the new baby and thank him for finding them...it's worth a try :)
Aubrey gaves hers up really well at 20 months too, it makes life much easier :)
