I am an admin for an amazing group, TAA-The Abortion Argument, and I have seen some very disturbing comments from many of the pro-life women. Some stated that they would allow an 8 or 9 year old child to choose whether or not to go through with a pregnancy and whether or not to raise the child. Some of them claim that a woman who was raped should deal with the pregnancy and give the child up for adoption. I believe the most frustrating thing I have heard is that they know what is best for my body, family, and children, born or unborn. I believe that I am the only person who can decide these things and absolutely resent anyone trying to tell me otherwise! I also feel that many of these women only care what happens to the fetus until it is born and then they allow it to be society's problem!

If you feel that I am incorrect, come on over to TAA and tell me why. I may not agree with your point of view but I truly believe that we all have something to learn from each other and I am more than willing to admit that I don't know it all. Please, come voice your opinions and have your side of the debate heard. We are a fun group of respectful (most of the time!) women and love to hear new sides and points of view! I look forward to seeing you ALL there!! :)

Some will even say that if you're not ready to have a baby, you shouldn't be having sex, regardless of marriage, or BC...

Sure eight year olds can decide to keep a baby but they can't decide what shirt to wear to school and need help brushing their own hair..makes sense.

The best is the real way out ther pro-lifers that are also against birth control.! I never understood how that works, perhaps someone that thinks this way could come explain it to me.

If a person is TRULY prolife, then its way more than abortion, if a person is PRo LIfe, then you also dont believe  in euthanasia, or the death penalty, so, there is more to the Pro life point of view than abortion.

Also, Abortion is not a choice, it is an act of desperation, if a woman had a choice, she would never  be in the situation of  having to pick between an abortion or the life of her unborn child, that is what my abortion was, an act of desperation, no choices were there for me.

I am pro-life but I fail to see how forcing an 8 or 9 year old to carry a child is anything but harmful if not fatal to that child herself.

I also agree that it hardly makes sense to be pro-life and anti-BC because BC helps keep the number of unplanned pregnancies as close to a minimum as possible. There are however people (such as certain catholic sects) who are very much against BC.

I also have to disagree that in order to be pro-life one must be anti-death penalty... unless you can explain to me how an innocent child compares to a sociopathic killer such as the Ted Bundys and John Wayne Gacys of the world.

I also have grievences with those pro-lifers who yell 'there's always adoption' at the top of their lungs but turn and say there's no way THEY would raise another woman's child it seems hypocritical to me.

I agree with you completely.. The only person who has the right to tell someone wat to do with their bodies, is that person themselves.  oh and WHY the hell are 8 n 9 year olds in the position to make a decision on pregnancy and termination or lack thereof? isn't that a bit immoral?

I am Pro Life for myself. I think there are certain situations where its understandable. Like a 8 year old child. Seriously that's sick.  Rape I can see that too, but women who are using it as birth control can go to hell. And women do use it as birth control. I think if a woman/girl is 15+ (maybe 13-14 depending on maturity) and she willingly had sex she should be willing to have a baby unless it can endanger her life by being pregnant.. There is adoption for those who don't want to keep a baby.

As for why they are against birth control would be that some forms of birth control allows egg and sperm to meet and just doesn't allow it to implant. Most Pro Life people are against it because they believe that its a baby when the sperm hits the egg. OR at least this is what I think. Although I don't count condoms and other forms of BC that just don't allow the sperm to hit the egg.

Although with this being said I do not judge others for their choices. Well I would probably stop talking to someone who was using abortion time and time again as a bc cause that's sick stop having sex! . Abortion is just something that is not for me and some forms of BC aren't for me.  Although if other so choose to do it thats their decision not mine to make for them.

There I've added my two cents.

Crying out loud.  I see taking the sickest of societies ills and trying to make it an acceptable "norm" in the approach in how to respond to that.  As a nurse, I have "held" the "fetus" as many want to call it....I will tell you, it is a baby.  Fingernails, eyes, nose, lips, warm like my own "baby" at home.  14 weeks gestation.  My patient had spontaneous abortion.

What is the discussion?  It makes NO sense to even have it.  Those who are pro abortion, do not even want to consider why some pro life opt out of bc.  It is baiting people to attack them for their "educated" beliefs.  Until, you ask because you are "genuinely interested" vs lying in wait to "jump and judge" when they take their first breath, before finishing their statement.

My dil practices rythym.  Lo and behold, it IS thoughtful, educated and she has her babies when she plans.  I never knew anything about it before myself.  I bought "the lie" that it "won't" work...b/c "those people" are so naive, ignorant (the implication, no?).

While passing the animal activists protesting holding their picket signs against animal cruelty, puppy mills, more etc. it occured to me.  Is it any wonder there is this "cruelty" when people have no respect for human life?  (NOT implying all people favoring the disposal of human life dispose of animals as well....yet if a study was done, we'd be surprised I believe).
