I've heard so many moms talking about all the "help" they get from their little ones and that they can't get anything done, or as soon as something is clean someone has dirtied it up again. This is just my thought but really who cares? In 20 years who is going to remember?
20 years from now no one will remember....
how clean my house was
that my floors usually need to be vacuumed
that my TV was always covered in fingerprints
that my kitchen is usually covered in a mysterious sticky substance
that my sons bed is never made.
No one will remember...
the brand of clothes I wore
if my shoes matched my outfit....or each other
how my hair looked.
No one will remember...
that clean clothes usually sit in a basket for days before they are put away
that I don't empty clean dishes from the dishwasher, I just wait until they've all been used
that my son wore orange shorts with a purple shirt.
No one will remember...
that dinner wasn't always served on time
that dessert isn't usually homemade
that I took cookies from a box to the church picnic.
In 20 years my son will remember...
the joys of jumping on a freshly made bed
making mud pies with mom
He will remember...
that his mom was the fun mom
who didn't care if her hair got wet or clothes got dirty
He will remember...
there was always time to play
always time to cuddle
He will remember...
that at two years old he could pick out his own clothes
spending hours helping mom make cookies for the church picnic...and sneezing in them
He will remember...
that he was never too young, too little, too silly, too dirty to be moms big helper.
