I know that we all face this issue of letting go.  Our kids are growing before our eyes.  We raise them to to be independent so that they can go out and face the world.  But when it comes time for that to happen we some how loose our mission.   We go into a fighting stance.  All of a sudden that day arrives without warning.  That day that our kids leave the safety of our arms.  We start thinking about when they were born about how much joy that they have brought into our lives.  Then it hits us like a brick.  Our children are doing just what we told them to do.  Just as we taught them,  To be independant,  Then we think they are too young for this that they will be missing out on so much fun.   This is a poem for my daughter who is now 18 and she is moving to Texas.

Before You Go

Before you go

you must know

that I love you so

When you were born you gave me so much Joy

So much happiness that swelled up beneath my soul

The World would know that I was complete

When you smiled at me my Heart would leap

When you cried my Heat would sink

Your Laughter showed me many things

It showed me love because you were a gift from God above

No one can compete with a Mothers Love

It is so pure like that of a Dove

It soars so high  like the sun in the sky

It goes on and on like the watery Sea

I want you to be happy

To love your children as I love you

If you could take a tour of my heart

you will see the love I have for you

You will see that our love will never part

Our hearts and hands are joined together

Our souls are but one

We may be two people

But our hearts will always be together.

This is a beautiful tribute to your daughter.  I know she will cherish it for years to come.

Thank you so much for sharing...
