Julia's birthday is coming up and she wants a small (5 friends) sleep over party! This will be her first, and I want some ideas to make it fun!! So lay it on me mama's. . . . give me some ideas!

I will keep the food simple~ pizza of course! I always have fruits/veggies for them too. And I'm thinking cupcakes that each child can decorate themselves. I'll have plain cupcakes made, then a little zip lock 'pasrty bag' of icing for each girl and bowls of goodies to add/decorate their own cupcake.

We'll have movies & there is always the Wii to play with and have fun. . . but I want some games maybe to play (I do think we'll do a modified 'pin the tail' game with red lipstick kiss and a poster of whichever dreamy guy the girls all are in love with. For Julia it's Drake Bell.) I'll search Michaels for a fun craft to do probably.

What else??

Some sort of craft for them to do, like decorate beach hats with those gel pens that don't wash off? My daughter did that in girl scouts and she loved it. Maybe also dress up and take pics. Get out all the "girlie" stuff or buy some cheap feather boas and have them play dress up, take pics and (if you have a polaroid even better) send them home with pics! Decorate wooden or inexpensive frames for them too! Take a group pic of all of them with goofy faces??

My son played flashlight tag in the backyard at his last sleepover.  They also played boardgames, twister might be fun for girls if you have it.  I've done treasure hunts in the past, I was able to find cool ready to print treasure maps online.  You could make the riddles/clues more girlish & have girlie treasure bags at the end.    You could google birthday party ideas, they usually have cool games & activities to give you more ideas.

And I can see from the photos that you did a GREAT job on her sleepover party!  Looks like a good time was had by all.  Congrats to you and happy birthday to her!
