Positive Thought brings Positive Action

Fathers day has always been a day of dread. Because while there are a few men in my life that are great fathers, they are not my father. So every fathers day I get to think about the man that thought his life would be better if he had no children, and no wife in it. I get to think about the man that walked out on his 3 yr old little girl, and his 10 yr old boy. Why did he walk out? I've heard many excuses. The one that I believe is that my mother was having an affair, and my mother was and always has been a woman who nags the life out of any man she attaches herself to.

So, we have a "Father" who doesn't love his children enough to stick around even though his marriage is a sham. So he doesn't do what any man with a backbone would do. Divorce right? Nope, not my spineless father. He just leaves. Yep, doesn't even take his cloths. He hops in his truck and drives off leaving his wife with two children to raise. Sure, if she was having an affair it was wrong of her. But that is besides the point.

Not having a husband to support her, she is thrown out of the home with two children and no way to support us. Were homeless. Eventually through hard work we do make it. My brother and I once in awhile get calls from our dear ol dad while we stay at our grandparents house. And we soon learn that daddy has taken another wife (without divorcing our mother). And his new wife sends us a birthday card and presents every year, because she has more heart than her bastard of an illegal husband does.

So yep, there's a "father" that doesn't deserve the title.

Now, there is one man that is 100% a great daddy. And that is my husband. There will be no spineless men for me! He's a great dad. So now instead of thinking about the twerp that I call Father, I can think about Lance. My husband, and the man that made me a mother. happy fathers day2
