meeting my mother

i would like some advice on how to go about meeting my mother.... she is coming down to where i live to meet me for the first time. its been 25 years and i know shes scared to death about it but im not sure how to feel about it. she still drinks and smokes ciggs.. she blew me off once before in 2002 when i went to go see her in cali. so now im not sure what to expect from her any mroe. we have talked for 8 years and i have moments where i knwo shes been drinking and i dont talk to her. there are other times that shes in a great mood and we have a talk for about 15 minutes and thats it.. i have never had a conversation with her for more then 15 monutes. i have never been able to ask her the hard questions about anything.  im not sure this meeting is going to hapen but i have all these questions for her for when we do meet...ugh
