It's about time they split!  I personally couldn't take the crap anymore and I'm sure those 8 kids were feeling the rift between the two of them.

I live in PA and I know the courts here in divorce cases are really screwed up.  I find it interesting that the kids will remain in the home and the parents transition in and out during their periods of visitation that they both agreed to - not that the divorce is going to be any easier, but a little more acceptable for the kids never leaving their "home".

As for the 2 "adults" on the show - they both need to grow up and stop being so selfish.  Ya, Kate was a bitch to Jon, but you can't tell me she changed overnight - he married her that way.  I'm sure her dominating personality didn't pop out of a Cracker Jack Box.  And, Jon, oh he's a great dad when he wants to be, but he's just as self-centered and distracted when it comes to the kids as she is on the show.  Neither of them appear to pay 100% attention to those kids - ever from the beginning.  Kate is a gold digger, and Jon is one too just not as obvious as Kate, and now he wants his "own life".  Well, wake up you 2 - you can't have your cake and eat it too!  You both wanted more kids, you both wanted to do this show to make $ for those kids you couldn't afford to support on your meager incomes, and now because you have fame and fortune, it's not good enough so now you need to go explore and get your own life.  Where does that leave the kids???  Neither Jon nor Kate should have primary custody of those kids.  The children are selfishly and selflessly being used as pawns to make more money than either of them ever could, which is why "the show must go on".  As tough as PA courts are, I hope the judge in Reading sees through their agreement and forces them to hire nannies for the kids and supervise both parents interaction with the kids, and order them to stop putting the children on the show.

If I had a dollar for everytime one of them said, "we're turning a page, we're going on to the next chapter, it's necessary."  Come on.  As if Jon and Kate's happiness is the main objective here. It's not about happiness - its about survival.   When you have 8 kids you should not be allowed to get divorced. lol.

I do have one thing to say to the poor girl who's supposedly having an affair with Jon, "Run!  Run like the wind!  The man now has two earrings and 8 children who are going to hate you!"

Personally I think Jon is taking the easy road and leaving Kate with all the work.
