Right now I'm feeling pretty blessed. God must be watching out for my family. I just found out that we've been driving a car that is unsafe for at least six months and probably more. We've driven on many trips in this time, one of them being 500 miles. We also go 200 miles at least once a month for NG drill. Just recently we've been having problems getting it to start or it won't run right. We've been putting off taking to a mechanic because of money issues and we thought it was a fuel pump. Yesterday i went to the mall with my mom and my two year old. When we went to leave the car wouldn't start, then when it did it wouldn't rev. past 2100 rpms. We finally got it to my FILs house and he took it to a mechanic he knows today. They just called and told me that not only was the crank(cam) shaft sencer bad but that there was a wheel bearing that was shot and the wheel could of fallen off. I have to drive 200 miles on Saturday to pick hubby up. I'm so happy all this happened before i left and something really bad happened. When i first heard about it all I could do was cry when I thought about the fact that I had put my son in a very dangerous situation and didn't even know it, but I'm just glad I know now.

I feel like someone is really watching out for my family. On labor day weekend we went to my cousins new house for a cook out. Everyone was having a great time, the kids were all having a great time and all was well. They have a pool but it was a bit chilly so no one was swimming but we were keeping a really close eye on the boys. My son decided to run to the other side of the pool and turned his back to it. He took a step back and fell in. My husband was in within seconds and had him out. Thankfully he held his breath and kept kicking cause if he had stopped we may not have been able to get him out so quick. Its a ten foot pool and at the time you couldn't see the bottom. It didn't hit me how close we came to loosing our son till later that night. All I could do was thank god that my son would still be here in the morning.
