OMG, it's finished. 162,600 words, 197 Open Office pages (way too many printed pages--we're talking upwards of 650 pages) and 13 years of my life--finished. Now it's all new territory ahead to finish book two of the book. I have no idea what's coming for the first time in the entire history of the book. Last save at 3:06 AM. I'll have to edit it eventually, but for now, it's closed and I'm not touching it.

This is a huge milestone in my life.

You wrote a book I presume...  That's awesome! I've started numerous books but get writers block or go in the wrong direction with it and just stop.  Need some one to edit?  While I am not a professional, I am pretty good with grammar and spelling.  And yes, that is partially an excuse to get my hands on this book of yours LoL

lol, yes, it was a book I wrote--it's technically only about 3/4th done, but I've been working out a king sized writers kink (not a total block) for the past few years. It's urban fantasy.

I need to read through it a few times and then it will be ready for edit. I don't have an issue with spelling or grammar, but I do need to know what it needs on a professional level.

Hopefully, with this kink worked out, I can finish up the book by the end of this year or next year, while the Urban Fantasy push is still big. I wish I'd finished it years ago before the big push, as I hate to think people are going to think I just went in for it because it was popular--fact is, I was writing it before the genre had a name. What name it did have was just 'dark fantasy' mostly because they weren't sure how to categorize it. There was only one author in the genre, really, though, at the time. I guess a genre is like a kid's name--we all get the idea to do the same one at the same time and think we're being unusual, LOL.
