my kiddos new beds-finally

I have hoped to get both my kids(kimberlee almost 2 and Kyle almost 4) new beds by their 2nd and 4th birhdays.  I finally did.  But, I only ended up paying $34 for everything. 

Kimberlee recieved a full size bed with a matching long 7 drawer dresser last monday.  We recieved it because my husband's uncle died, who's daughter also passed away over a year ago.  Well, his widow is moving back to ny to live with her sister and can't take it.  So, Kimberlee recieved it, including headboard, frame, mattress and boxspring.  She just loves it so much.  I got her a bedrail because its so high off the ground and she had to use her princess wooden step stool to climb into bed every night.  She loves to go to bed at night and take her naps late morning every day now.  I tell her lets go night night and she climbs right into bed.  She had been in a toddler bed for only a short while, only because she needed out of the crib right away because she was getting her knees and thighs stuck so she got her brother's toddler bed and he got her crib with the drop rail taken off.

Kyle got his bed Thursday, finally.  I found the head and footboard at savers for only $4 because that color tag was half off, it was originally $7.99 for the set.  Its actually from the top of a bunk bed, but Kyle doesn't know the difference or even care.  I plan on painting it dark blue because his room will be done in Thomas-what a surprise lol.  We had the mattress supports because they were  from my twin bed that Kimi was going to get until we found out we were recieving a full bed for her, so I sold the head board and foot board.   Thursday I bought a set of mattress and boxspring from him for just $30 and they look almost new and they're simmons brand.  He is so happy, even though he has a twin and little sissy has a full.  I also had to get him a bedrail just like Kimi's because I  was worried that he would  fall out too.  He also thinks that he needs to use his step stool to get into bed.  His bed is also high up and his mattress top is higher than the frame. 

We haven't gotten them their bedding set yet "santa will probably bring those this year" but they are so happy to have big beds now.  Kimi has to fill the inside of the bed with about 10 baby dolls, blankies and even more stuffed toys.  She just loves her babies and has to take every single one with her to bed every night now that she has the room.
