pen's crazy thoughts

heart, family,love, funny,

So this is the last day of childhood for my daughter Amber. To me i think she got to enjoy it to the fulliest. It is hard for me knowing I have a Grown stepdaughter which i am very proud of. Now my baby girl is turning 13. Cars, boys, drama. badd behavior, and the fact that she could move out in less than 4 years scary.

But it is a good thing. I try to teach her to rely on herself. and give her that freedom and tools she needs. even thought it is hard knowing i have to let her make her own mistakes and goals . because as a mom you want to say no or yes. but you have to relize they are an indavisual. and you can guide them but you have to let them learn and exsperience life. on there own.

List of 5 positives on her becoming a teeen.

she wants to work at the theme park at 14. her own money woohoo

Becoming her own person

SHe has a sister that will guide her

ok so i could only think of three. lol Told you i was having a hard time with it LOL

5 negatives

hormones

starting  pms.

not wanting to listen to mom even though  i am right lol

sneaking out

BOYFRIENDS.

I could use any advice from the mom with teens.  good or bad.

Amber at 5 months old. i' liked those days

amber now. wow from baldy to smarty all in a blink of an eye.

Oh, Amber will be fine.  You will be fine.  I have another positive but you had it in the wrong place.  You get to see her blossom into a beautiful women and learn love!  It may be hard to see but falling in love when you are  young is a plus... even if it comes with heartache and deviance.  I know,,,,,  shut up Diana.. just wait till Nick is this age... but we gotta look at the good side cause guess what....... we don't have a choice!  Just show her that you love her and you are there for her and you have done your job.  It's all up to Amber now...  Good luck!

I tell you this all the time, but what I enjoy about Amber is her intelligence.  I just drove Sam over to a college course today and their came upon their general advertisement.  It said they hope to train more females in science and technology.  I hope she keeps up her interest in science, if it continues to be biology, that she may further her education in that.  The girl already writes and speaks well, like her mom....happy birthday Amber

It's not so bad having a teenager.  Most of what is out there is overrated.  Just see you child as an individual and go with it.  I have a teen (she's 16), and am having a blast.  I tell her I can't wait until she's off to college, so I turn her room into my own home office. :)

I feel the same way! My dd, Brittany, will be 14 next month. You're doing a great job by instilling values and letting her become a responsible and hardworking individual. We're all in this together:)
