Early to RISE, Early to BED.....

I think this is going to get some getting use to again.

I did not know what to do with myself. 

My dh came in around 8pm, we ate, watched TV, he fell asleep. The girls cleaned the kitchen and I thought they were watching TV in the livingroom. I went to see what they were doing and the house was pitch black dark. I went into their room and they were all in their bed....

I said, "What are you guys doing?" 

They said, "We are going to sleep."

I said, "Why?"

They said, "Cuz!"

I said, "It is early!" 

Aminah said, "Yep, we now can go to bed early, baba is home now..."

I said, "What!"

Yasmine said, "We are tired!"

I said, "Get outta here, You never went to bed at 9 pm past 8th grade, now you going to bed at 9pm. What is this?"

Yasmine said, "Ummy!, we all have been waiting for this day, baba to come in from work agin early, we all eat, relax and go to bed... "

I said, "Where is the relaxing...? you all are in the bed like you are going right to sleep. No one is relaxing. Your baba ate and went right to sleep... and you guys.....well...."

Aminah and her smart mouth said, "Well we are trying to do the same.

I looked at them and just walked out... As I am shutting the door, they were telling me to  go to  sleep also.

I said, "What ever!"

My dh opened his eyes just to say, "Whats wrong?" I replied, Nothing!"

OMGoodness, I did not know what to do with myself. It was like I was lost... I was walking from room to room...I finally settled down and watched "Run's House"& "CNN" and "the Weather Chan"

I finally fell asleep around 11:30pm only to wake up at 12:30am, to go back to sleep and get up again at 2:20am.....seams like it took me for ever to get to sleep...

I hope it does not take long for me to get use to the change, last night I was bugging....

OMGoodness... it is funny

I for got that part of re -adjusting . LOL

But bless those kids . One never knows what's in their minds . When my DH was working long and late hours driving in NYC . It was just me and our son was an infant . But when we move here he still kept the long hours and it was hard once the kids got older . I know what your girls mean though , your sole is relaxed when you know and see all of your loved ones together under the same roof . I'm so happy for them . Now for you , well it's going to take time . But it'll happen . I used my time to pick up the house at night and do some reading and do an on-line Islamic course I just signed up for . I hope and I'll pray for you that it's not long before you're snoozing too . LOL
