I’m Jamie Volner, while I am in the business of Direct Sales and proud owner of two home based businesses myself, I cringe when I see others out there looking for an opportunity only to get stuck with the wrong one!

What’s a person to do!? Everyone is coming at you with one home based business opportunity after another. Which one do you choose? How do you know if it’s right for you?  What should you know before you start a home business opportunity?

I am here to give you some tips on what to look for, questions to ask on how to help you decide on what is right for YOU! Not someone else.

Anytime you are looking for an At Home Opportunity and Direct Sales have a general idea of what really sparks your interest. It is important to really enjoy what you do and love the products.

If it isn’t a product you personally would use or sell to a loved one or friend or don’t feel comfortable promoting odds are it’s not the right one for you. Loving and believing what you do in anything in life is key to a happier you.

Always and I mean always investigate the business and sponsor you are potentially thinking about signing up with and be vary wary of scams.

Work at home opportunities are not the same as “work from home” scams that offer you a bazillion dollars a week…if that were the case we’d all be rolling in the dough.

Interview your potential sponsor, yes, you heard right interview them. What do you want and need from a sponsor and can they provide that for you? Are they just there to sign you up and then leave you to fend for yourself until you learn the ropes?

Investigate the company! Ask questions. Do not let fast talking get you stuck into something you’ll regret later.

Questions To Ask

1. Are the products consumable meaning will they buy again
2. What is the cost to start your business
3. Does the company have a buy back policy on any inventory you’ve purchased should you decide it isn’t for you
4. What kind of training/support system do they have
5. Are you expected to make monthly quotas to stay in business
6. Are you required to maintain inventory
7. Is there any monthly fees and if so what are they, and what are they for

Also find out how long the company has been around and are they with the Better Business Bureau.

Now, while this is never a guarantee they are the one to go with just because they have these credentials it is a starting point.  It also doesn’t mean that a company that has been around longer has the best opportunity for you either.  New company’s start all the time and often those are some of the best to grow with.

Not everyone is with the BBB so with more investigating you can find a smaller business with excellent standings just as you can otherwise. It all comes down to asking questions and researching.

I wish anyone looking for a home-based business opportunity the very best and good luck to you on your future endeavors.
