I was laid off work...

... for the rest of the week, and don't know if I'll get to go in next week...

I am so worried, aggrevated, dissapointed!

They already froze  our raises for this year, took away our good discounts, and cut us back to not a minute over 30 hrs for full time (only about 8 of us, the "sales support") We kill ourselves to work, we carry the entire store... merchandise, set sales, and do floor moves... along with stock and some managerial duties... we have more work to do in a week... than most people do in two 40 hour weeks...

And today, out of the blue... our district manager lays off all sales support for the rest of week...  No warning... no idea it was going to happen...

So, I'm absolutelely screwed... I mean, we always make it through times like this... but to help things along, I'm having a sale in my artifre shop... 20% off...

So, if you've been wanting anything... Now is a fantastic time to get it... for two reasons!

It seems to be what's happening everywhere. My brother in law took a 5% cut, another friend 25% !! About 6 or 8 friends are taking mandatory vacations several without pay, including ME! My husband is not working so it definetly hurts.

Hang in there, this is country wide.... Luxuries went out the window 6 months ago, and bills are piling up but at least I have my family and my health~ (trying to be positive)

Im so sorry to hear about your job. I hope you're able to go back to work next week. The economy just sucks right now... just sucks!

Sorry...hang in there! This has got to be one of the worst economic years in a long time.
