Condensed version of the weekend of 6/28/09.

It was a picnic/weiner roast. There were friends and family there.

Golf cart rides for the girls...The old golf cart has given them rides since they were 8 years old. The golf cart was named the M&M Special. It was a gift to Mindy & Missy from their daddy.

Yes, the old M&M Special has taken these girls on wonderful adventures for more than 15 years.

Oh look, there's the trampoline that we got 11 years ago. I wonder if we can still do flips???

TaDa! Every flip was landed with both feet! (Missy in dress and Mindy in shorts)

Angie made a "Build A Bear" for Missy. It was so cute! She named it Dot. Dot had on a bathing suit, sun glasses and she had a little beach ball, beach bag complete with suntan lotion and a beach towel. Angie even gave Dot red hair to match Missy's.

Then there was cake. What was the occasion?....... OMG .......Missy is moving to California! We were having a going away party for her. She is my youngest child. (Mindy was born 2 minutes before Missy)

M&M sat talking. It was almost time for Mindy to leave. She had to get back to Indiana. Missy told Mindy.....I'll only be gone for a year. Mindy, we will not cry!!! Don't do it......Don't do it!

They clung to one another for a long time. Neither wanted to let go.

One more hug before Mindy got into the car. She had to leave because she had to get to get back to Indiana, where she now lives. It's only 3 hours away from home.

Missy & her Daddy sat outside after everyone had left.

The next day we took Missy and her boyfriend, Mike, to the airport. They are now in Los Angeles. I am in Illinois. Yes, I cried. My nest is now empty.
