My sister-in-law says that a faster heartbeat means I am having a girl. I;m 14 weeks and I was just wondering if that was true. . .. . .

Old Wives tale
First, your too early on in your pregnancy.. the baby's heart beat is always fast in the early stages no matter what the sex is.
Second, while some say that faster means girl, that's not always the case. The only 100% way to find out for sure is an amniocentesis. Not even ultrasounds are 100% sure (take it from me, my second one, they told me was a girl.. told me it was the umbilical cord we were seeing.. LOL.. he turned out to be a boy) :D Ultra sounds are accurate enough though... usually you can see boy or girl at about 17 weeks.
