If you knew for certian (like an angel told you) that your were expecting the antichrist would you abort the baby?

I would love to hear your answers.  You don't have to believe in the antichrist to answer.  Just use the hypothetical as reality.

I would be hard pressed to abort a perfectly healthy baby.

Even if an Angel told me I would still have the baby and hope for the best.

This is where nature vs nuture comes in.

Of course, this is how pyscho-paths are made but I can not abort a healthy baby.

Interestingly, a number of Protestant sects consider the papacy to be the antichrist. So, I suppose that means that I could be carrying a future pope.

(I think that one of those pointy pope hats might really hurt coming through the birth canal.... OK. I'm done joking now.)

I don't really have an answer to your question! You have me thinking about the definition of the antichrist, though, which I know isn't the point of your post.

I would not abort and truely believe my Roman Catholic faith would raise a good person.

By "antichrist" do you mean a truly evil person? Would I have aborted Adolf HItler, Pol Pot or Josef Stalin? Would one death be justified to prevent the murder of millions?

If it were another Hitler, someone like that, then yes.

This.

I mean, if an angel told me, then it must be true.  Angels know stuff and wouldn't lie, right??

Ok, if I were to kill the child I would be a murder lowering my chances of heaven. If an angel told me to do it there are chances of the angel being a fallen angel detouring me toward evil. So in scripture it tells of the devil being gods favorite angel that was casted down due to his disobedience. So if we are merely committing a sin to end what we believe to be good whats to say we are right regardless. Everyones life has been plan the decisions we make take us off course at times. So to answer the question I would say no to the abortion...The lord casted him into chains and if he ever should present a probelm again god would take care of it. He is after all creator, judge, jury, and the omega...right.

Wow, hm.  This is a GOOD question and one to provoke a LOT of thought.

I have always thought that I personally would be unable to have an abortion.  This, again, is personal and I never expect anyone to believe or feel the same way I do.

In this scenario, I have to admit that it likely wouldn't sway me.....probably because I'm not Christian. ;-)

Wow.  Good question.  I think that I personally would choose to still have the child and do everything in my power to ensure a good upbringing in the hope that I might change what would befall him/her.  I don't think people are born evil, so if I was informed by a heavenly being that my child would bring misery to the world, it would be prophesying about something that could still be changed.

Don't worry - I believe that I am already raising the anti-Christ.  Her name is Julia and she's 4.
