butting heads whith docter

About 5 years ago one of my sons docters wanted to but a feeding tub in my son.my son had some seriose eating issues(he wouldnt eat anything that was not dry and cruncky).This same docter is the one who told me he needed to be off the babyfood on table food.That was when he stopped eating and stopped gaining weight.His teacher ,sp,ot and I worked whith him and i took him to feeding evals 3x a week at hospital were he saw a dietary and another sp specialist.Did this for a couple of years finaly he was started to eat was so happy the hole time we did all this to keep him from getting feeding tub.The docter says time for feeding tub.I told her he was earing and if thay did the tub now he wont want to eat because the tub can do it .All that work would be down the drain.I asked her can he take the pediasure threw a sipping cup it is the same stuff thay use for tub feeding.She said no.He had to have the tub.I told her i wanted a second apinion.WoW was she made.I now my sons rights.I got my second apinion I took him to childrens in st.louise.(I live central ILL.).were he was admitted thay did aweek long eval on his eating.Thay didnt feel he needed the feeding tub that it would decrease his motivation to eat .Thay said as long as he takes the pedisure in a cup form and is eating solids there is no piont in it .Here we are 5yrs. later still no feeding tub and tyler is eating like a horse and gaining weight.

       The parent is the one whith the child eveyday not the docter sometimes we need to stand up put are foot down.
