For a while now many of you know that I've been worried about Tateums speech. To me he doesn’t seem to be talking as much as he should or as much as kids his age are. I know that every kid is different but I went online and I did the stupid thing and I read yes I read a story saying that if his speech doesn’t improve that we may want to take him to a specialists. This pretty much scared the shit out of me...I mean what mother doesn’t want to have a the prefect child? The child that knows his or her's A.B.C's by the time they are two the child that can count to one hundred by the time they are three. Tates doctor says that he is right on track that we have nothing to get worried about but me being well...me I still worry. I do have to say though Andrew and I have both been shocked with what he can do! For his birthday he got one of those dry erase boards and every day we have been working on his A,B,C and numbers. He can tell you what all the letters are and he can make it up to ten. Just tonight I went threw this A.B.C book that he has and instead of me reading it to him he read all the letters to me (with a little help at times). At his last Doctors apt Andrew also told his doctor about how much he is into Slipknot and many of you have been witness to this love! She was shocked not because we let him listen to Slipknot but that a kid his age could tell you what music he liked. She said that usally didn't happend until three or four. He can also sit there and tell you the band members names *Sniff Sniff we are so proud!* So maybe I am worrying about nothing most of the time that’s the case anyway. Maybe he's not in to big of a hurry to grow up and maybe I just need to step back and let him do it at his own speed. Any thoughts or suggestions would be great! Thanks for reading guys!
