Ok, this shouldn't be hard for anyone to beat distance wise cos I live in the UK!
My longest trip was from the South coast of England where I live to Waterford in Ireland with 3 work colleagues. This was back in the mid 90s. We left at probably about 7 in the morning by car, drove across country and through Wales to Fishguard. It was a pretty warm day I think. I loved the drive through Wales.
Then we had a long wait around for the Seacat (catamaran) to take us across the Irish Sea. It was getting to early evening by then. Really cool seeing a school of dolphins swimming alongside us. Finally we had another drive from Rosslare to Waterford. Took more than 12 hours which felt long enough!
