I have had a few people write to me with interest about guest blogging for this science blog........
Thank you for your interest! I think we will have our first guest blog posted soon, so look for it in the next few days. I am really excited about that :) It will be very obvious when someone has written it besides me, because I'll be posting it with a different font (see below) and it will have the author's signature (NOT MINE) at the bottom.
When you see the font "comic sans" in dark blue, that's one of my posts (Tonya, AKA sunmoonstars). Within my posts, if I copy text directly from another website, I always use the font "arial" in black. For guest bloggers I will be using the font "verdana" in deep purple.
I wanted to share with you today the reasons I offer to open this blog up to guest writers.
First, a guest writer will give the readers blogs on topics I might not normally choose to write about, such as their personal experiences, chemistry, physics, etc...
Second, the author may get access to a larger reader base than if they posted using their own account.
Third, the author may decide they really like blogging, and we might, in the future, have more than one science blog on Cafemom... could you even imagine how cool THAT would be ??? !!!
Fourth, it gives me a break that day. Writing all these blogs is alot of work and takes a decent amount of time.
So this way, everybody wins... the readers, the writers, and me!
So if anyone is thinking about it, I encourage you to write to me so we can discuss guest blogging. If you need some ideas for posts, or some help editing your rough draft, I can help you with that, or if you want it posted exactly as you write it, I can do that, too. I am really flexible about the content because I refuse to stifle anyone's creative energy.
And to those of you who write to me with ideas for blogs, but you don't want to write them yourself... thank you! I keep a huge list of topics to choose from, and your ideas will be used when I feel inspired on that topic.

I was just checking out all the female inventors (one even made a "slimsuit" slimming swimsuit!), and was thinking about blogging about them. But I think I am done with the science stuff after learning about sewer worms.. blech. Nothing can top that.
