I saw two baby praying mantis' today. I believe that the creatures in nature can teach us lessons. Especially when they interact with us in some way. Such as jumping up on your legs which is what these two did today.
Praying mantis' teach us to be patient. Which has never been a virtue of mine. They teach us to slow down, to mediate, and only strike when the time is perfect.
I believe this is to teach me that now is not the time for us to buy a home. Personally, I really really am tired of renting. But I can see that perhaps the time is not the most opportune and I may be trying to force something we are not ready for.
The last time I saw a praying mantis it raised its front legs at me as if to box me away. At that time I was young, and in a secret love with my then BF, now hubby. That day we were discovered in a very err.. compromising situation. His father being the one doing the discovering. Very embarrassing. And it almost got me sent to another state because I was underage. DH could have gone to jail from my impatience.
So for this sign, I have good reason to heed it, but that doesn't make me want to follow it. Will the time ever be right? I can only hope so.
