WELL I BROKE THE RULE I JUST COULDNT STAND IT ANY MORE. OUR SUMMER PLANS DIDNT HAPPEN THE WAY I THOUGHT AND SHE SEEMED EVASIVE. SO WHEN SHE CALLED LAST EVE I WAS CRYING AND SOUNDED SAD SO I FESSED UP WHY. I WILL VIST END OF JULY AND MUSIC TO MY EARS I QUOTE" IF U FEEL THE NEED, COME ANYTIME". I EXPLAINED I WAS WAITING FOR A MORE FORMAL INVITE. LUGGAGE HAS BEEN PACKED FOR A MONTH AND FUN STUFF FOR THE KIDS PLANNED. SHE TOTALLY UNDERSTOOD MY FEELING IN ''limbo" SO VERY HAPPY I TOOK ON THIS CHALLENGE.

You know CECE, one of my favorite adoptees, self confessed angry-adoptee, says when we feel neglected we are obligated to reach out. I've always heeded her words and I've never regretted reaching out, not once.
I think it's ok to tell them how we feel (within reason) as long as we are careful not to make them think it's their job to fix us or they did anything wrong.
I think in your case, saying how disappointed and upset you were at the summer plans not working out was a very good thing to express. You told her how dissapointed you were, without blaming her, and expressed how important your relationship is to you. Perfect mama!
They really need to know that they are a big deal to us.
