Respect

We are to respect them, they are to love us, right?  So, when I don't feel any respect for him, am I sinning?  How do I change how I feel?  Or is it just an action thing?  I try to still act respectful towards him, although it's a challenge to do something you don't feel like doing.

So when he's done nothing to earn respect, how do I react?
