Gay marriage

**this is souly my opinion, based on America being the "Land of the FREE**

I Have a serious issue with the fact that gay marriage is not legal in the US, If we are Free we should be FREE to Marry the person we Love without someone else religious views getting in the way of that.

To say that gay marriage should be illegal because God says it is evil, in a country that has RELIGOUS FREEDOM is IMO VARY UNAMERICAN.

I am sorry, but if you want our Laws based on the Bible maybe you should move to a different country. One that Forces Religion down everyone's throat...Maybe you would be happier there.

Why cant people Accept America as a free country? Why do people feel we need to force our views on everyone? No one is going to agree 100% EVER. Someone is Always going to be hurt by laws when they are based on others beliefs instead of being based on our right of freedom and the American dream (Not everyone's American dream is based on A man and women getting Married and popping out babies, Its just Not.)

I just don't understand those who get So worked up when it comes to stupid crap that has NOTHING to do with them....what does it hurt YOU if a Gay or Lesbian couple marry? It doesn't.

It doesn't take anything away from your marriage, it doesn't mean Marriage will loose its Value....If it even really has much left...I mean if you want to play that card you better look at divorce rates and then make sure the 5 minute marriage is ban....

All I am Saying is this is the land of the FREE, and EVERYONE should enjoy their Freedom...not just straight couples.

i agree. and minority rights should never be put up to a majority vote. its just wrong. but america is effed up. i think straight couples wreck the sanctity of marriage more than a gay couple ever could but thats jmo. its a sad day that in the land of the "free" that prejudice is alive and well (and government promoted!)... makes me ashamed to be an american :(

It doesn't."....im not sure how a gay or lesbian marriage effects anyone other then the 2 people involved...Marriage is based on " a man and woman" okay if thats what it takes to make EVERYONE happy...im sure one of the 2 would LOVE to dress in drag...that way theres an appearance of a man and woman...now im just being silly...but in reality there is nothing more special then the LOVE two people feel...gay or straight! who are we to say they arent in love...who are we to judge??
