I have not heard much about this...anyone else.....I am just learning that a wonderful family in Florida , the Mom and Dad, have been "slayed". The police just said that there were 6-8 people and that the operation was very methodical...      :(

Police: Slaying of couple 'methodical operation'

Police in Pensacola, Florida, believe six to eight people were involved in the shooting deaths of a couple known for adopting special-needs children, authorities said today. Those include three people already in custody for the deaths Thursday of Byrd and Melanie Billings. The crime was "a very well-planned and methodical operation," said Escambia County, Florida, Sheriff David Morgan.

Police say they have evidence that places Gary Lamont Sumner at the crime scene.

I don't know anymore..but I saw on news they are looking at some guy that had some stuff written on his myspace page that was connected to the Case...and the sheriff said there are multiple motives.  the guy on my space said not quoting paraphrase....something about doing his part to make the world better????

I heard what was on TV, which isn't much.  Much more as to WHY this heinous crime took place will be reveled in the near future.

I only saw about a 3 minute blurp on the news about it.  That is so terrible that this happened to people who took in so many special and wonderful children.  I do wish the news would give a little more info about it.  But, I understand that they don't probably for the kids' sake.

I heard that the children they adopted will be staying together and be staying with family members.  The parents had some things in place in case something should happen to them.

This is the saddest story I have heard in a while. I can't believe people are that sick to do something like this.
