Wait a minute...

First off, how did this miracle happen?

We can't even get the family to watch Tomas for two seconds let alone for enough time that hubs and I can have a night out. If we want to go out we have to play rock paper scissors to see who is watching the baby and who gets to go out with friends.

The one person who watches Tomas is my mother in law and she watches him when we are at college. And that is two to four days a week. Other than that we have no back up. My mother is always busy and out of the state. And some of the family we just don't trust.

And the family I do trust doesn't live here. So my husband and I don't go on dates unless Tomas can come with us. We haven't had "us" time since ummmm I think the Wolverine/ Star Trek Movie months ago.

I had a teen on my husbands side tell me "I want a baby and it will be awesome because my family will watch it and my friends and I can keep up with what we do now". My husband and I laughed so hard we about pee'd ourselves. Because that same family refuses to watch anyone's child unless there is something in it for them.

So the answer to this journal theme is we don't do dates unless my son is with us and we have found that we grow more as a couple when we do this. We also get to know eachother more than when we were just Manuel and Danielle.

LOL....I hear ya on taking the kids with.  We do that. We take them with or we don't do it. Hubs fam is in another state and mine are all over the country.

I find that hubby and I have a lot more fun together at the zoo than at the club or bar.

And yeah I can relate. My sister lives in Florida and my brother is in Colorado. My Dad smokes in his house, my husbands brother is constantly fighting with his girlfriend, and so on and so forth. It is like ummm our options suck.
