In the debate group I belong to, The Abortion Argument-TAA, we have debates quite often about whether one is PL or PC. There are so many women who claim that they are PL but do not want to see abortion made illegal. Does this really make sense? Wouldn't that make you a supporter of other women's choices, therefore pro-choice? I can understand feeling like you are pro-life if you don't really like abortion and would never have one yourself, and that's great, as a PC person I would love to see abortion rates go down and unwanted pregnancies prevented, but because I feel that abortion should be a choice made by the woman I am pro-choice. Pro-choice does not mean pro-abortion. No one is outside of clinics protesting for pregnant women to have abortions, so why the fear of calling yourself PC if you don't want to see abortion become illegal? If anyone has a logical, sensible asnwer to this, please come share your POV with us in the group! See ya there! http://www.cafemom.com/group/104491/
Comments:
Pro-abortion is a nasty term. Being pro-choice does not mean you promote abortion.
There is no such thing as Pro abortion! No one wants MORE abortions! But I do feel that anti choice is an appropiate name for PLers. If you don't think so, join the group and find out why I feel that way.

This statement always gets to me. It is eactly what comes to mind when I hear people say PC is pro-abortion.
