These are the things no one told me about pregnancy and motherhood.
1. Waking up 3 times a night to pee in early pregnancy is training for the first year of babies life
2. Difficulty sleeping in those last several weeks due to aches, pains, ect... this is your training for your childs first months of life.
3. Do not plan on a full nights sleep for at least the first 12 months. Even your best overnight sleeper can develop a night time waking cycle later.
4. You will never again enter the bathroom alone for a child will always be on your heels
5. Special treats you hide to eat alone will become shared snacks.
6. Bladder leakage is normal in pregnancy, and after birth....oh and when baby won't let you put her down for 5 seconds so you can pee.
7. Once you have children a quiet childless trip to the grocery store qualifies as vacation time.
8. Never expect to remember anything again. The more children you have, the more this applies. Mommy brain isn't a myth!
9. Do not expect a clean house and clean dishes at the same time. If the house isn't torn up they are probably eating.
10. Expect pet trauma. First their not your first baby anymore, then the baby traumatizes your pet.
