A little of this and a tad of that.

Psalm 33

This Psalm is about singing joyfully to our Lord.  I love it.  One of my favorite, if not my most favorite ways of praising my Father is through song.  I cannot sing one note on key, but I love to sing and music resonates with me more powerfully than the simple written word.  I have so much respect for the men and women who are able to write and sing these beautiful praise songs than mean so much to me, and I am sure to millions of others as well.

One of the greatest praise music singer/songwriters of our time, in my opinion is Chris Tomlin.  If you have ever seen him in concert, you can see the spirit of God surround him when he sings.  It is evident that the words in his songs are truly inspired by something greater than himself.  It is an incredibly worshipful experience to be a part of thousands of people singing and praising God together.  Of course, Chris's concerts aren't the only Christian concerts that have this feeling, but when I read this Psalm today, I was immediately taken by a memory of being in attendance at one of his concerts and how powerful I felt the Spirit of God move through the people and how glorious it was.  This, I believe is only a glimpse of what it will be like in Heaven as we all gather and sing and praise our Father God.

I try not to use the word amazing very often because I feel it is an overused word that has lost its power through its overuse, but in this instance, I think it is called for.  I cannot wait for the amazing time that is sure to be.  Just to be in the presence of God and all the Angels of Heaven along with all the other believers of all time and to sing our hearts out in praise.  Yes, that will be truly amazing.

Here are a couple (okay a few) of praise songs to get us in the mood of worship and praise:

This is soooo incredibly good.  Our God is more than amazing.  To amazing for words.  How can we help but praise and worship Him.
