Chicken nuggets (or strips)
- Chicken (Boneless skinless) $7.98
- Bread Crumbs (generic) $2.00
- (Most of these seasonings are already in your pantry)
- Poultry seasoning $2.00
- Garlic Salt $1.50
- Pepper $0.50
- Evaporated Milk Fat Free $1.12
Preheat oven to 350. Slice the strips into either nugget pieces or strips. Mix the seasoning and the bread crumbs in a shallow bowl. Pour in a separate bowl the Evaporated milk. Dip the chicken first in the milk then in the bread crumbs. Then place on a greased or non-stick pan. Let bake 15-25 minutes. Check to see if cooked all the way through.
Immunity boosting veggies.
- 1 Yellow bell pepper
- 1 Red bell pepper
- Broccoli
- Carrots
- Garlic (minced)
- Olive Oil (extra virgin)
Saute the veggies in a deep pan until tender. For some that don't know you have to get rid of all the seeds and the white parts inside the bell peppers. Slice the peppers into strips and the carrots into rounds. The garlic needs to be minced.
I bought the above for 15 dollars. The veggies I bought for less than 10 dollars maybe 6 dollars. The most expensive was the Chicken at almost 8 dollars and the Olive Oil at 6 dollars.
It isn't what you buy but how you prepare it. It isn't as expensive as people believe and most of this can be bought at a farmers market. Nix the butter and the fatty unhealthy ingredients and switch them with inexpensive healthy ingredients. Like I ditched the eggs and opted for evaporated milk. Works just as good. And you can even get rid of the bread crumbs and use mashed up Corn Flakes which are like under 3 dollars.

That works too. I do this for my son when he wants his "McNuggits" so instead of taking him to McDonalds for some junk I make this for him.
No problem :). Thanks for commenting. I am not rich at all lol so I thought I could help others who might feel like their hands are tied.
Just an FYI I think there is a pretty big evaporated milk recall going on right now due to salmonella. I THINK it was evaporated milk, I don't eat dairy so I'm not 100% sure but you might check your brand with the FDA website just in case.
Crap, let me check it out. I don't drink a lot of milk either. It also has to do with the brand you buy.
Here is a link...it's multiple products:
Thanks again for the reminder it is not hard or expensive to make tasty alternatives at home that are healthier, taste better and way cheaper than the fast food we have gotten used to. I remember growing up that we had no fast food restaurants in our home town and we really did not have very many overweight people.

I just use bread crumbs no evaporated milk. Also, I put it all over whole wheat pasta. Mix in a little more olive oil. My mom has also used green beans in the mix.
