Our day (a grumbling whining vent)

 It all started this morning when I put Jerry on the potty.  I was very optimistic because he was totally dry and I knew he would have to pee soon after waking.  I made him sit there something like a half hour.  He was not happy about it.  I tried a few tricks to get him to go, to no avail.  So finally I gave up and told him maybe we could try again later.  Wouldn't you know the little stinker peed as soon as I put that diaper on him??  Apparently he had been sitting there holding it.  :/

Then I had a house to clean this morning, so after giving the kids thier breakfast and doing a little housework of my own we headed out.  The whole time I was cleaning her house Jerry was running around slamming her doors, opening/closing her cabinets, throwing her pillows around, picking up her lipstick tubes and banging them on his teeth..oh etc etc etc!!  Every time I told him to sit down, he would, but it wouldn't be long until he was back up and at it again.  She has those kind of glass doors on her entertainment center that open at the slightest touch..*sigh*..need I say more??  Much too tempting for Jerry.

After finishing there, I stopped by the pharmacy to get my hormone meds refilled.  While there he realized that his voice echoed in there and proceeded to make loud bird-like noises so that everyone would come to see what was going on.

The last stop was the local Harp's grocery, where I needed to stop for bananas, bread and a birthday card for my nephew, who had his 12th birthday today.  (Happy birthday Thomas).  Again, the discovery of the echo..I tried to ignore that but Jerry was just sooo happy about it, and sooo loud..While Allysa and I were trying to pick out a card for Thomas, there was a lady beside us also browsing the cards.  Well she had a buggy and stuff in it.  Jerry started getting her stuff and throwing it around in her buggy!  Biting on her buggy, slobbering on her buggy, trying to roll her buggy around..ugh.  Ever try to pick out a birthday card with all of that going on?!  I apologized several times and she was very nice about it but I was quite embarrassed and by this time irritated to say the least.  When I scolded him and pulled him away he proceeded to throw a fit, throwing himself in the floor, refusing to get up, and when he did get up started jumping up and down..did that all the way to and through the checkout and out the door. 

Got home, no luck on the potty again.  Refused to take a nap.  Slamming cabinets, getting into desk drawer, getting cups out of the sink and rolling them around in the floor, crumbling up newspaper and laughing delightfully..dumped my purse in the floor.  Threw my toothbrush in the toilet.

Oh what a busy boy he has been today.  And now, he is sleeping.

You know I luv you, but I can't help but laugh!  In light of  a new day I if you go back and read your own post I think it will at least make you smile.  =0)  You have great kids!!
