My DH, DD and I went to yatesville lake in Ky.  We live in Louisa, Ky about 20 minutes from the lake.  My Dh has an Intermediate drivers license. Which they do here in Ky.  They only restrictions on it is that you can't drive between 11pm and 6am without good cause and you can't have more than one unrelated person under 20 in the car.  We went the lake with a few friends.  Them in their own car, us in our own car.  When we were done we went to look at the fishing spots.  We weren't fishing, and didn't have any fishing gear with us.  We were parked along the side of the road, completely legally waiting on our friends to catch back up with us.  A park ranger stopped us and asked to see my DH's driver's license.  So we gave it to him and he told us that DH was driving with just a permit and we had to have some one come and get us.  While we were waiting for someone to come pick us up he was holding Dh's driver license and asked us where we lived.  I thought it the answer it that was pretty obvious he did have Dh's driver license but whatever, so I told and he got all lippy and said "Well I don't know where that is, I ain't from here"  So I tried to explain to him where the street we live on is at.  After I finally got him in the general area he said "Well, like I said I ain't from here and I don't know anyone here and that's how I like it".  I was like, well geez way to be a douche bag.  We tried to explain to him what an Intermediate license is and he just kept saying that he didn't know anything "about no intermediate license".  This is something that the state of ky has been doing for almost 2 years. And this guy is a ky ranger.  So anyway we got some to pick us up and had to leave our car at the lake overnight.  The next day I call the court house and find out that I was right there is nothing wrong with Dh's drivers license that that ranger just didn't know what he was talking about. I can't believe they have people out there with the authority to pull people over and give them tickets and they don't even know the law!!  This just drives me crazy, and he was being a complete ass.  Saying thing like, " I can call CPS and have your kid taken away for driving with only a permit" and stupid stuff like that.  He also comments on DD's clothes or lack of.  She was in a diaper and in our car.  And he wanted to know where her clothes were. Why is that any of his business anyway.  She had a diaper on and was in her carsear the way she was supposed to be.  I was soaking wet because we had just got done swimming so I told him that it was hot at the lake and I didn't want her to overheat, we have no ac.  And he gave me the awfullest look like I was lying or something.  I am going to call the lakes ranger station and complain about this officer. Not only does he not know the law he was a complete ass.

I'd be mad too. He was a total jerk and way out of line.  Not only was he rude, but ignorant as well!

Sadly stupidity isn't against the law nor is it considered a disablitiy!
