So I sit here, 5' 4'', 110 pounds, 34C cup size, and not stretch marked. Im considered pretty and ideal by many standards. I was envied all throughout high school for my build and even after I give birth, my best friend is still jealous! I was that girl who was fitting into her size 2 jeans the day I came home from the hospital. And I cannot find anything to wear. I searched the mall for 2 hours looking for SOMETHING, ANYTHING and come home empty handed with sore feet.
It probably doesnt help that Im RIDICULOULSLY picky when it comes to clothes. Im nursing so dresses, which I LOVE, are out. I harbor this odd notion that if I wear jeans and a Tshirt Ill look like a dyke... I dont like shirts that have the neckline like a choker, yet its hard to find a Vneck that doesnt go too low. I dislike most denim and khaki clothing. I wont wear a tank on its own out in public. I hate wearing the name brand on my shirts, (Im not buying a shirt just to be a walking advertisement!) Only certain colors look good on me. (Im pale, with dark, auburn hair and freckles.) I cant wear neons, I dont care for pastels too much, any shade of blue or green looks well on me, dark purple and most pinks also suit me well. I like skirts. Not super short ones, I like the medium to long, boho skirts. My favroite clothes include solid color shirts Ive acquired oevr the years, a white and black skirt with elephants on it from Africa, a right below knee length flowy turquise, burgundy and brown skirt with flowers and paisleys (Ive worn this skirt thin, it even has holes from a goat biting it at the petting zoo...), a knee length thin denim skirt (Its a size 2 and surprisingly I need a belt with it now or it will show a plumbers crack...), and I cant think of what else. Ill wear the same 3 outfits over and over and over again. It annoys me- But I cant find anything I like to wear!
The dh tells me, "I dont like my clothes but I still wear them... Ive been wearing the same thing for years and years and Im not bothered by it." Stop comparing! I need to look nice.
Anybody know that feeling of confidence that only comes from finding something you truly look good in? That strut that lets everyone know you're beautiful and know it!? Yeah, I need clothes that do that for me!
