GOING BACK TO SCHOOL!!!

I HAVE GIVEN IT ALOT OF THOUGHT AND WITH SOME  ENCOURAGEMENT FROM MY MOTHER ( MORE LIKE YELLING) I HAVE TAKEN THE FIRST STEPS TO GET SIGNED UP FOR COLLEGE..AND TO BE HONEST IM SCARED OUT OF MY MIND ...MY MEETING IS THIS THURSDAY AT 10 AM AND IM SO SCARED...WHAT IF I CANT DO IT...I GRADUATED IN 2004 AND THATS A LONG TIME FROM NOW...I JUST HAVE SO MANY DOUBTS ABOUT MY SELF AND IM SCARED...WHAT DO YOU MOMS THINK

I was homeschooled in Ohio, and graduated in 2004 also. When I moved to Tennessee I went into college to apply. I passed the apptitude test, but then they told me that I would have to go get my G.E.D. because my homeschool diploma wouldn't transfer from Ohio. So I went and did that, didn't take any prep classes, and passed. I did well enough that I got a discounted price of $25 instead of the normal $50 to pay for my G.E.D. I'm now in my 4th quarter. You can do it! I had these same doubts about myself when I was starting out. It's the first few steps you take to better yourself that's scary. But you made an appointment, that in itself is a great accomplishment! Just stick with it, and don't give up!

well i have an apt. thursday..and im going today to pay my dues and get signed up for my testing..and im actually on the phone right now with the financial aid people...so im actually doin it and im scared to death...but im making it happen

I graduated from high school before you were born (going by the fact that you graduated in 2004) and I just completed my first term in college.

I am old enough to be mom to most of my classmates and I was totally freaked out. But ya know what? I am loving it. You CAN do it!!!
