Why is it that some people hold so closely to their political party lines that they can't even find the slightest bit of compassion within themselves? It's been 3 days since the World found out that Bowe Bergdahl was the US Army Soldier who was kidnapped by the Taliban in Afghanistan. While a majority of people are supportive in the effort to Bring Bowe Home, it's sickens me to see some are not. Businesses REFUSING to allow employees to wear yellow ribbons, that refuse to put up a simple sign that says "Bring Bowe Home" in their store front windows. Bloggers and posters alike who condemn his choice of enlisting in the first place, like death is a given. Those that blame Bush for us being there and enjoy placing that blame. Sickening comments about how his head will be cut off and oh well.

I am a friend and neighbor of Bowe. He is a real life person, a wonderful young man with his whole life ahead of him. A man who joined the military to protect you and me from the very people that now hold him hostage. If he he were your son, husband, or friend would you make the same comments and condemnations? Or would you want every ounce of support that could be mustered, knowing the World was praying for his safe return? It's so easy to be ignorant or passive or downright mean when it's a face on a screen and not someone you know. It's a sad County we live in to see us so divided over the life of a young man giving his ALL for all of us.

As a Blue Star Mother of America (my son serves) I can say he has MUCH PRAYER going his way! The military is a family.....when a family member is in trouble we all hurt! The entire family are in our prayers!
