I'm thankful for not having boobs thrown in my face all the time by offensive and indecent breastfeeding mothers like the ones below:

Wait...Well, this is a bad example. Let's try again.

Hmm...Just a minute. I'm sure I can find better ones than these...

Eh, still not offensive enough. I'll check one more time.

That is better. LOOK AT THAT! I see about a half inch of boob. DISGUSTING.

UGH. Look at that indecency! She must be from some third world country to be exposed like that!

Now that's just...There are no words to descripe how inappropriate that is. Something needs to be done!

But why stop at breasfeeding women? There are boobs everywhere. Beware! If you thought the above photos were offensive, you WILL DEFINITELY be offended by the photos below.

Not this one, though. This one was in plain view on news stands and in mail boxes in 19 countries world wide!

Not this one, either. This one actually won an award!

Oh, and I guess this one is fine too. Everyone knows you can't sell jeans without someone being topless.

Or beer, for that matter.

Or sunglasses.

Or movie tickets.

Or CDs...

You know what? Maybe I'm crazy, but I think that someone mixed up some photos here. The first batch are offensive, but the second batch are just fine and dandy???

Sorry Madismom. I refuse to cover or feed my child in the bathroom. Even in church.

"The sad part is there was a bathroom two feet away. "

Uh oh. You've just suggested that we feed our children in the same place where we defecate. Where we can either stand and feed our child (not easy for extended feedings), or sit on a toilet. That is rather disgusting too, in my opinion. Do you eat your meals while sitting on a toilet?

I agree you should be able to breastfeed your baby anywhere.  Be decent about it though.  I was in church one sunday in the cry room.  And I looked over and there was this lady breastfeeding her child with nothing over her.  It was out in plain view.  Plus the cry room is glass.  The sad part is there was a bathroom two feet away.

I agree that church is not an appropriate place--I would be offended at someone bottle-feeding or eating a sandwich in church too.  But I think what's really sad is that you think a bathroom IS an appropriate alternative.  NO ONE should have to eat in a bathroom....

Seen this before. It is a good post - but I have honestly never come across any negativity towards BF when I have done it - no dirty looks, nothing.

This is a good post, but I have 4 children and I never, EVER had anyone look at me negatively or say ANYTHING to me about breastfeeding any of them. Have things changed in the past 7 years since my youngest was born, did I just live in an area where it was seen as acceptable (Nebraska... don't think that's it), or did I just not notice and did my own thing and not worry? I'm sorry, but I have never had the issues some of the women on CM have complained about. I'm not trying to be mean, but I have a hard time understanding. I never covered up either. I was always like the mom in the 1st picture.

We had a big case recently in a nearby pool where a mother was nursing her son right by the shallow end where her older son was playing.  She was almost done when a lifeguard came over, tapped her on the shoulder and asked her to use the bathroom for that.  She was very offended and took it to court where it was found that women can breastfeed anywhere in Oregon.  The pool was using the Oregon state law that talks about how you can't be behind the blue line with food.
