I would say that when it comes to raising your children, don't take anything personally and sometimes you've got to just let them cry. Not in the "cry it out" way- in the hold them, rub their backs and let them cry. I can't think of a more secure feeling than having a safe place to fall.
Sometimes at the end of the day my oldest is tired, cranky and sometimes weepy. I'll admit that this can get annoying, but I try my best to give her a hug, tell her I love her and let her use my shoulder to get her frustrations out on.

I think that's excellent advice!!! I only figured that out a few months ago with my 3 yr old's cranky/weepy tantrums. And do you know what? I actually have a song called "Safe Place to Fall" and I'm going to record it today and send it to you! :)
