Let me just say...that kidney stones are NO JOKE!!! I thought I was just having back pains from being pregnant but the pains kept getting worse and worse. I called my OB and she said to take a nice warm bath and some tylenol. Well, after three baths and 10 or so tylenol I was in tears and rolling around on the floor. I couldn't sit, I couldn't stand, I couldn't lay down....it was awful!!
I woke hubby up at 2:30 in the morning and off to the ER we went. They were completely full and busy but thankfully being 8 1/2 months pregnant got me right in! (the one good thing...I couldn't take one more hour of that pain!) The doctor immediately started an IV and pumping fluids. Several hours after being there I started with contractions as well. UGH!
After 4 days of fluids and antibiotics I was able to come home. Thankfully Alanna is very healthy and active and still inside of me. If we can make it even another two weeks we will be doing great. Thanks for all your prayers and concerns for me. I'm hoping to be done with these stones soon so I can focus on my little princess to come!

At least I've always heard passing kidney stones is tuffer then labor. :P Hopefully the stones come first and then you can laugh your way through labor about how easy it is!
That sucks! That happened to my daughter two years ago when she was 7 months pregnant. She did say after L&D that labor pains are not as bad as kidney stone pain. Drink lots of water!
Oh girl I know EXACTLY what you are talking about! I had an experience with kidney stones about 2 years ago and it is SOOO terrible. My husband has gotten them twice and had surgery both times aswell.
I'm so sorry that you had to go through all of that! But very, very happy to hear that Alanna is still safe inside of you and you two are back home resting. I know bed rest probably isn't very much fun, but just think - in a few weeks you will be up all hours of the night and never have time for "rest" agian LOL
Oh wow!! I had no idea. I'm glad to hear everything is better. That's a terrible thing to go thru when you are pregnant! I'll be praying for you guys.
OMG!!! I am so sorry you had to go through that pain, but I am also happy that Alanna is safe and inside you.
I am still praying for you and stay in bed please, I know it is terrible after 2 days, but it is necessary.
Are the stones out or are you waiting for them to go out? Is there any explanation why this happened?
Hoping you feel better...
I am so glad to hear that you and baby are doing well. It does suck about the kidney stones though, but just remember to drink lots of water and cranberry juice!!
That definitely does not sound fun. I'm glad you are doing better now though. (= Hang in there hun.

Well I am so glad you are home, and baby is safe. That can't be fun, not pregnant. We will keep you in our prayers!
