Make a Trade?

I want to have an event entitled (Trendy Trade Off Soiree) what it is? Women coming together to trade the stuff(cloths) they don't want and or need, women can bring in other odds and ends such as hats,bags,jewelry real or fake,magazines,books, and the little nick knacks we women love and need! All participants have to bring business cards/postcards/flyer's of there own business or a friends/family or just businesses,company's,events that you can share at the event. This Soiree will basically be the type of event that every one goes away with more then what they came in with.... now I want to give away gift bags to all the attendees but that is not realistic with no funds, I was thinking that the women who come with the most bags of items will get the gift bags or I can give the gift bags to whoever gives a $5 dollar donation at the door, how does that sound?  Would love any feed back.

This idea came about 3 years ago when I went to this wonderful event entitled Swap-o-rama rama and what it was men and women coming together to swap there cloths for other cloths and do workshops that showed them how to update or upgrade clothing you found at the event or your own, not only did you swap clothing, do a few workshops listen to a DJ and at the end of the event witness a cute fashion show created by the clothing found from the day and a creative designer good with his or her hands and a sewing machine but whatever clothing was left would go to a charity and or shelter how beautiful is that? for pics and info on the wonderful woman who created the event "Wendy" the web site is www.swaporamarama.org
