A friend of mine has gone away,

To tired from his fight to stay.

His wife and children stay behind,

So many questions on their mind.

Why was it now, and why to him,

For we can’t function without him.

He wasn’t a big or famous man,

But always there to lend a hand.

Computers were his passion,

If you listened, you could learn his lesson.

A workaholic was this man,

But you always knew right where he stands.

I went to a party not that long ago,

I saw another side of him, it surprised me so.

He loved his wife, Of that I’m sure.

Through joy and sorrow, what they’d endure.

The pride for his children, sometimes hard to see,

Is evident now as he walks with these three.

He was one of a kind, this friend of mine,

and he will be missed till the end of time
