Have you ever had one of those days where no matter what you can't get happy.  I just spent all day today in that funk.  I am in desperate need of a pick me up, but I just don't know what can do the trick.  I am in this funk deep!  Maybe I just need to make a change in my day to day life or something...I'm not sure.

Tomorrow this will probably pass, and writing about it now is making it a little more bearable.  I am not the type to discuss my problems much, and I definitely never want pity.  I just needed to get this off my chest.  Thanks to whoever listened/read this.

A few thoughts....

Is this a usual thing?  It could be hormonal.  I go through mood swings every month.  Sometimes, it just a lack of energy.  Sometimes, I feel blank.  Other times, irritable, but I know that my hormone levels have a lot to do with this. Could there be some reason for your feeling like this or did you just wake up like that?  Maybe what you said about needing a change in your day-to-day life is the answer.  Do you have people in your life that you can talk to or are you isolated?  Are you simply unhappy with your place in life?  I know this is a lot to think about, but maybe these questions can help you sort through your feelings.

There are obviously many reasons a person can feel like you do.  It could be medical, but it could also be life's normal stresses.  Hope you feel better tomorrow.

yeah i go through that alot, sometimes i just can't seem to shake it off but then i start to look around me and see all the wonderful things i have and i think about how much worse it could be.

Thanks for the support!  I AM feeling better today.  My husband has been gone for almost 3 months now, and he won't be back for another month or so.  I guess it just makes me lonely and every once in awhile I get into a funk.  It is nice to hear I am not the only one that feels like this.  I do the same thing and see all the wonderful things around me and feel better.  My son was down for a nap when I wrote that, and as soon as he woke up I started to feel better.

It is totally understandable that you would have sad days! I could not imagine being without my DH.

Something to try is to SMILE - seriously, you know how they say "smile and you'll feel better"? Well it's TRUE! Smiling actually reduced the bloodflow to the hypothalamus (a gland in the brain that regulates mood) which makes it cooler and less likely for you to have negative emotions.

Oh good!  So glad to hear you're feeling better. I couldn't tell 'cuz your profile doesn't say, but is your husband deployed or gone for some other reason?  It's no wonder you were feeling blue then!  It's hard being alone like that.  Do you get to talk to him a lot?  It's good you keep busy at the pool.
