I am in one of those places.  You all know that place, that time in your life, when things are stangnat yet changing at the same time??  That's where I am.  Things are a bit stagnant around me, and other things are changing so fast I am not sure I am keeping up.  Well, I KNOW I am not keeping up with everything, because I haven't written a blog in about a week and haven't checked in on The Science Spot in that long, either.  I apologize for that, readers.  But let it be known, change is coming, and in a good way!  I am back in action :)

I took a little break from the blog, by accident in a way, because I was overloaded with some things.  I work full time for a biotech company, and things have been crazy-busy the last few weeks, which sent me to a near-breakdown, as well as encouraged me to update my resume (CV) in preparation for a possible move in the future.  I depend on my lunch hour to write blogs for you.  Since work was crazy, I worked through my lunch most days, which killed my personal time I devote to writing.

At the same time, I made alot of progress on a website project I was working on for my church.  I volunteered to design, implement, and maintain a new website for the church.  i got alot of support from the pastor and secretary, but I spent many hours working on it, learning how to make it live, etc.  Well, I posted it to the web 2 days ago, and it is live and beautiful and working, and I am so happy with that!  Now that the project is in the maintanence phase, maybe I will have some free time at home to work on the resume/CV project I mentioned above.

Part of my resume/CV project is to give myslef a springboard for looking for more writing opportunities.  That's where the sxcience blog comes back in.  My dedication to Cafemom's only science blog has been renewed, which I am sure will give me much pleaseure in my life.... the pleasure my 9-5 job is trying to crush from me like rocks sitting on my chest.

At the same time, my daughter continues to challenge my knowledge of flowers AND bugs, and continues to be a lifeline for me into my beloved world of science.

Talk to you soon.  I have news about Jupiter to tell you about in my next post :)

I hope that while you're writing for the Science Spot during your lunch hour, you're also managing to eat your lunch. Otherwise, I'd feel really terrible--I'm enjoying your always-informative blog while you starve. :-( Seriously, thanks for your dedication and hard work, Tonya!

Oh yes, I EAT!  Eat too often, LOL.  Another favorite time for writing is during those midnight, 2 and 4 am nursing times with my baby.... but she is so fast now, I barely wake up by time she is done!

Never fear, I am not suffering :)
