Sunday afternoon at 2 PM I felt a little ill and thought at one point that my water might have broken. We called the hospital and they asked me to come in to be checked. DH and I packed DS up to go to MIL's and I realized while waiting in the car for him to set DS up that I was having contractions... every 5 minutes apart. DH and I drove the hour to the hospital with my contractions staying at 5 minutes. The doctors checked me out and found that the baby was having some problems with oxygen, so an U/S later they decided to hook me up for delivering. My contractions started coming closer together without any medications, but by midnight it was getting too stressful to allow them to progress on their own for the baby. The baby's placenta was starting to calcify and it wasn't allowing him to receive the oxygen he needed. I got a little pitocin to speed up the contractions. A nurse checked me at 4AM, and by then I felt ill and thought for sure the baby was transitioning into the final stages of labor. At 5AM I knew he was set to be born, but my water hadn't broken yet. At right before 8AM my doctor came in and broke my water. I started pushing immediately and he was born at 8:58AM. I couldn't hold him right away as he ripped me a bit and they were sewing me up first. DH held the new baby first and he was beautiful.
I finally was able to breastfeed the new baby as DH filled out the birth information and told me what it said. The new baby, a boy, is now named Wheylan Ricky. He's 6 LBS 3 OZS and 19 inches long. DH signed the waivers for the vaccines and such as well, and both DS2 (Wheylan) and I fell asleep. DH called friends and family to tell them the news.
Here is DH, DS2, and me after the birth.

A few hours later I breastfed again, but this time it wasn't a happy thing. I started bleeding profusely into the bed. I hadn't even finished feeding him when the nurses moved me to the bathroom and the bathroom became covered in blood as well. It took two nurses and DH to carry me back to bed. I couldn't move, and was lucky I was still awake. I was given a shot to stop the bleeding and put on I.V. medications and fluids... they prepped the blood for a transfusion... I laid in bed without the transfusion as the doctors hoped that the medications would work.
Family came to visit us. I laid in bed and I think I interacted with everyone, but a lot of it is a blurr.
I do have these photos of DS1 meeting DS2.

The second one is DS1 sharing his cookie with his new brother. DS1 also wanted to do "rounds" with the nursing staff. He grabbed the stethoscope and started down the hall toward other rooms.

With medications and a good nights rest with the help of wonderful nurses I was able to bring my bleeding down and my strength back. I was able to finally eat solids and keep them down after two days of nothing since starting labor. They removed the medications, and told me that as long as I felt alright I could care for myself and baby... but to call should I feel any thing "off".
Tomorrow I am to be discharged (hopefully) if my blood hemoglobin are high enough to get oxygen to my body without any nausea or dizzyness. I will be home with my children and being the mother of many that I have always wanted to be.
I will definately be having a busy rest of the week with my two little boys and having SS for visitation this weekend.
Welcome to the Earth Wheylan Ricky.
