I can't believe it ! It just keeps getting worse. NJ DYFS is not going to release information to the media on children's deaths while in care of the system. They claim it is for privacy. Basically it is a huge cover up. Can you imagine a child placed in the system dies in foster care due to negligence of the system and no one ever hears a word about it. They swep so much under the rug already. The reforms that were instituted were due to public outrage over children's death in the system.  Now they are hiding those keeping the public in the dark and preventing further reform.  So what do we do? How do we protect the kids?

Can we write our representatives and maybe get someone to propose a bill to congress? I don't live in NJ, but the more reps from different areas who co-sign a bill or just vote yes for it the better, so a lot of people writing reps is needed. I think you should start a grassroots political action committee to exact change in foster care systems, starting with your area but with the goal of expanding to the country.
