I think it's Awesome!!

Today we went out for the first time in a few days. Yes sad deprived stay at home home school mom here!!!

ANYHOW......there were flags & yellow ribbons EVERYWHERE I was thinking what on earth is going on?

Then I started seeing signs.......WELCOME HOME TROOPS. Homemade ones, really nice ones, businesses had signs in the windows. Those signs with the letters that you change ALL of them every single one in town said "Welcome Home".

I guess our National Guard Unit in our area is returning.

There is a parade tomorrow "in town" welcoming them home!!!

Just thought it was awesome that they do that!!!!

Welcome Home Guys!!! You make us proud!!!!! And Free!!!!!

Yep!  A huge troop of men are coming home from Afghanistan, and they're gonna "parade route" them right down Route 50!!!  I wish I knew what time, cause my kids and I would LOVE to go and thank them for their sacrifice!!!  They're also gonna go down some of Court Street and out to the Base out by the airport.

Yea, I don't have to worry about that, you can tell because the MPs on post set up the barrels, Protocol office sets up the "Marne-Tron" on the parade field, hotels are booked solid, and you see dozens of wives and husbands buying balloons and flowers at the flower shop at the PX. Life on an active duty post is daily like life in smalltown USA with the boys coming home from war.
