I have to share this with you….

oreoAfter I put the kids to sleep my full day of will power and healthy choices slowly erodes and eventually morphs into an out of control woman lying in bed covered in Oreo crumbs which I am desperately try to clean up with my orange Cheeto covered fingers. Needless to say their is no cLean Momma web cam in my bedroom.

I eat so great the entire day,  lots of fruit, spinach, high protein, desperately trying to cover all four food groups.  Then come 8:30 that food group triangle we all learned in elementary school slowly transforms into a rectangle,  one that coincidentally looks like a graham cracker covered with peanut butter and Jelly, hey we all have our weaknesses.

My kids are a sleep and “So you think you could dance” is on.  It is being recorded on my DVR so once I kill 30 minutes I can watch this informative and educational program without commercial interruption.

I bust out my bag of pretzels, cream cheese and baby wipes (I learned a lesson from those Cheetos.  As much as I was trying to avoid it I did the math on my harmless snack and discovered that I might as well be eating a Big Mac…

(No Joke!)

cucumberI finally switched to a healthier snack and I have to say, its sooo fab and really satisfying.

Hear me out before

you judge.

I take a jar of baby food, (sweet pees)… just kidding.

I do this:

I mix low fat ranch salad dressing, (I like Nancy’s kitchen)  with balsamic vinegar and and dip a cucumber in it, while

I watch my favorite dancers,  (Gotta love Brandon!).balsamicranch

Its really yummy and combines the crunchiness of the cucumber with the saltiness of the salad dressing.

Yum!

It may not taste like a Big Mac but unless they start selling  self esteem in a Happy Meal I will stick to my healthy

alternative.
